Meat Tenderizers: There are several ways meat can be made more tender. The meat can be crushed by pounding or with rollers but this most often makes the softer part softer but leaves the blood vessels and tendons intact. The meat is more chewable but the really tough parts are intact. There are other tenderizers that cut through the meat. These tenderizers have blades that actually cut the tendons and blood vessels so that they no longer hold the meat together. The meat is held together by the softer muscle making it much easier to bite off a morsel.
Generally these tenderizers cost more money but they do produce a more acceptable serving of meat more quickly. It is also relatively easier to motorize them which is really a lifesaver when you have a lot of meat to tenderize. We are offering you the best of each of the types of tenderizers. Meat Tenderizer Attachment by Pro Processor (Item #698105)
This tenderizer can handle a lot of meat and it will fit the #12 & #22 American Eagles, #12 Hobart machines and others that take a 5/8" square drive and tapered stud that is 1 3/8" in diameter tapering up to 1 7/16" at the body of the stud. There are 32 rotating knives on each side and 2 stripper combs for a total of 64 rotating knives. It has a 7 1/2" x 1" opening and comes with a convenient handle.
